The JCCI-Redemption Chapel Hospitality Ministry is created to show the love of God through the gift of hospitality by welcoming people into the house of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and help in the transition of our guests and members from strangers into the family of God. The hospitality ministry serves to reflect the love of Christ through expressions of gratitude, excitement, and enthusiasm, to: Create an inviting and enabling environment during our services and special events that is welcoming, hospitable, friendly, loving and caring. Create a sense of belonging by making sure every visitor, member and guest feels special and welcome in our church.
Vision
Our vision is to meet, retain, equip, and raise an army of believers by loving those we meet with the love of Christ.
Objective
The aim of this ministry is to help make our worship services warm, inviting, and safe by providing a conducive atmosphere during times of weekly fellowship gatherings, church-wide events and special needs of the congregation.
Mission
The mission of the hospitality ministry is to provide a welcoming environment of love, acceptance, comfort, care, and unity for visitors, members, guests and friends in order to enhance a fulfilling worship experience, which will encourage fellowship and help build a friendly community of believers.
We shall accomplish this by:
- Making every guest feel welcome, special and develop a sense of belonging.
- Providing a warm welcome to our guests that they will desire to come back repeatedly.
- Creating a mutually enabling environment at every service that reflect the following values:
- A respectful environment that honors people and their relationship with Jesus,
- A welcoming environment where both guests and members of the congregation experience a genuine sense of worth, warmth and belonging,
- An inviting environment that encourages people to participate in the service
- An environment where commitment to serving is valued and appreciated
- An environment that respects the needs of the congregation to be served in a timely and organized manner,
Principles
The Hospitality Ministry is founded on five (5) principles, namely:
- Welcome:
To greet our visitors, guests, and members in a way to make them feel comfortable as they participate in our worship services and events. - Hospitality:
To express warmth, generosity, and kindness to our visitors, guests, and members by creating and maintaining a hospitable environment that is open, friendly, and sociable. - Fellowship:
To build a community of believers by developing special programs, events, trips, etc. that will create an open, friendly, and sociable environment. To create unity among believers through the sharing of mutual or common activities, experiences, goals, ideas, and feelings. - Organization:
To manage our worship services and events in a way to help create an environment that brings order and pleasant for worship by limiting all distractions and disturbances. - Discipline:
To ensure that the church members, guests, and visitors are following the rules, regulations, protocols, and procedures of the hospitality ministry in order to avoid chaos, confusion, and disorder.
Departments
The hospitality ministry is comprised of four (4) departments headed by an overall departmental head who will supervise the departmental leaders.
The four (4) departments are:
- Welcome Department
- Ushering/Greeters Department
- Fellowship Department
- Security/Attendants

Romans 16:16 – Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings.
Hebrews 13:2 – Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
1John 1:7 – But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
