There are three (3) departments of Choir, Dance & Drama headed by departmental heads under the overall supervision of the Director. The music ministry of JCCI-Redemption Chapel exists to set and establish an atmosphere that is conducive to worship, enabling the presence of God and prepare the heart of the people to receive the Word of God. It is an active, participatory and integral part of the worship experience which engages and empowers the young people to serve as music, dance and drama leaders in the Church through programs that help shape them for service.
Vision
Our vision is to worship God in truth and in spirit and lead people into the presence of God and in worship and adoration, create an atmosphere of openness to the Holy Spirit who breaks bondage and change hearts by raising the banner of praise and worship through the instrumentality of music, dance and drama.
Mission
To nurture and utilize the gifts and talents that God has given us to enrich the service of God through praise, worship and devotion in music, dance and drama so that Christ may be glorified. The Mission of the Music Ministry is to please God through our lifestyle and by providing praise, worship, and music that brings others to Christ and edifies Church membership and the community at large.
We shall accomplish this by:
Working in concert with the senior pastor to develop and coordinate music, dance and drama for the worship services that fit the theme of the service. Recruiting and training gifted and talented members like Actors/Actresses, Dancers and Choreographers, Organist/Keyboardists/Pianist Vocalists/Soloists and Instrumentalists into the ministry. In conjunction with the pastors the leadership of the ministry will plan and implement all worship services including all Sunday and special services (Thanksgiving and Communion Sunday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Church Anniversary, Easter and Christmas celebrations ).
Psalm 150:6 – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Psalm 34:1-3 –I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
